Trust & data handling

What happens to your card data, client book, subscription, and workspace.

The short version: cancel renewal when you want, export supported business data, Smart Book does not sell business customer data, and customer card details are handled by Stripe instead of being stored as full card numbers in Smart Book's ordinary database.

Card data is handled by Stripe

Smart Book does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or card security codes in its ordinary application records. Stripe handles card details for Smart Book subscriptions and supported customer-payment workflows.

Access follows business and role

Smart Book uses business-scoped access rules and owner, admin, dispatcher, and technician permissions so field users do not need broad office-finance access.

Your client book has an exit path

Authorized users can export supported business data. Canceling subscription renewal is separate from deleting the workspace, so a billing decision does not silently erase the client book.

Deletion is deliberate, not instant

A verified owner can schedule workspace deletion with a 30-day recovery period. That is separate from normal subscription cancellation.

Cancellation and refunds, plainly stated

Eligible first-time trials can start without a card. If no payment method is added before trial end, the subscription pauses instead of creating a Smart Book charge. Once paid billing begins, an owner can cancel renewal through Smart Book billing controls. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.
